- Hacker steals $185,000 in ethereum from Bill Murray after NFT charity auction — Coindesk reported that a hacker started to drain Murray’s wallet Thursday, soon after a “Beer With Bill Murray” NFT collectible sold for 119.2 ethereum ETHUSD, -0.40% — about $185,0000 — after a bidding war. Murray’s team was to donate the funds to a non-profit serving veterans and first responders, Coinbase said.

- Cardano’s Vasil hard fork upgrade confirmed for Sept. 22 — The Cardano blockchain’s hard fork upgrade, Vasil, is scheduled for mainnet on Sept. 22, according to Cardano developer and operator Input Output Global’s (IOG) Twitter announcement over the weekend.
